Tupu Aotearoa- Supporting Pacific People to grow in the Waikato Region

We are proud to be an official provider in delivering the Tupu Aotearoa Program within the Waikato Region. This program, formerly known as Pacific Employment Support Services (PESS) by the Ministry of Pacific Peoples (MPP) assist young Pacific people between the ages of 15 to 39 into meaningful employment and/or further educational pathways.

This program includes but is not limited to upskilling and training, coaching and mentoring, getting certified and licenses, gaining career advice, building confidence, interview preparation, finding employment and more; whilst taking a holistic approach to participants to ensure they succeed.

With the success of the program in the Auckland region achieving over 2000 participants and over 2000 successful placements into employment and education; the Wellbeing Budget has allocated an extra $14.5m to extend this initiative into the wider Regions including Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Manawatu-Whanganui, Hawkes Bay, Otago and Southland.

It was also great to hear from Hon. Aupito William Sio and a past student from In Work on the success of the program so far. We are excited to be a part of this initiative and will drive to deliver results alongside our partners in the region.
